Not so long ago when people thought of small lift back cars as being dangerous and unsafe. But times have surely changed as the metro now seems to be filled with little hatchbacks of all sorts. This is the evidence that they are indeed properly built cars and can totally satisfy the needs of everybody today. As such Toyota joins in on the trend with their Yaris which now replaces the unused echo as it aims to impress the young professional to get “in” in the crowd with a high level of style and features, safety and audio entertainment options. The Yaris gets round this one by arcing the bonnet high over the unyielding mechanicals to provide a deformable surface. This means that despite being shorter on the outside, the Yaris is competitive in terms of interior space, auto parts and accessories, and easy to park at the same time. It surely looks impressive on the outside its upswept glass panels and pillars which educe a sense of motion, the same thing with the inside potion. It has handsomely designed interior which oozes with style, evident through its sculpted door handles, ergonomic dash layout and high quality and unique materials throughout. A saving 1.5 liter engine jungle with improved suspension components that is better suited for rocky roads. Whether you like it or not, nobody can stop Toyota from doing something unique. Want to know the evidence? Well, here’s today’s hatchbacks which possess a new found character and has an appeals to a broad spectrum of buyers that firmly establishes the subcompact segment in our diverse automotive market.

Nowadays, almost all major car manufactures are constantly giving car buyers sensible options into making them purchase a car, not in terms of marketing strategies or special promos, but equipping the car with options based on the priorities of the consumer. The newest version of the Getz has captured the hearts of all car connoisseurs yearning for style with grace, better and high performance auto parts. Case in point is the Hyundai Getz, which offers motorists a choice as it can either be equipped with a gasoline or diesel engine. While the 1.1 liter engine is naturally set on being fuel efficient, it also has an ample power to weave through the busy street. With everyone being conscious about the cost of fuel, what sort of fuel it runs on becomes an issue for most car buyers. But if you’re truly conscious about what you are paying for at the gas pumps, the 1.5 liter engine with Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDi) should ease your burden. In terms of power, the diesel makes the grade due to its Variable Geometry Turbocharger and the intercooler that not only matches its gasoline driven counterpart; but also outclasses it with sheer pulling power (or torque) at low rpm’s. All this enhances the nimble driving qualities that the lightweight Getz endowed with making it a solid performer. Thanks to CRDi Technology, it has vanished commonly help about diesels that are now a thing of the past, though the suspension geometry and refinement isn’t as updated as Accent Sedan.

Habitually cleaning your car’s interior is just as important as regularly checking the other auto parts. Aside from looking great, a clean or sanitized interior is healthy for the car’s passengers. Conveniently, you may use the same products which you use to clean your living room chairs, sofas, and rugs.

Here are some steps/tips:

  • You may start by vacuuming. Remove the floor mats first as you should vacuum them separately. Vacuum the seats, carpet, under the seats, around the pedals, and the area between front seats, and central console. Use soft brush to vacuum the dashboard and doors. Be careful not to scratch anything.

  • To clean fabric seats, carpet, and other upholstery, you may use an upholstery cleaning agent or a simple laundry detergent. Just mix it with warm water, dip a clean cloth in it, and use it for wiping. Don’t use too much water as it will soak the seat, cause more stains, and make it smell.

  • To clean and preserve leather seats, you should use high-quality product like saddle soap.

  • To fight stains, be sure to take care of the stain while it is still fresh. If something has spilt, mop it up immediately and dab some water at it to dissolve the stain. If the stain is severe, spray it with a stain remover.

  • One helpful tip in order to avoid the spreading of stain is that you should work from the edges then towards the center. Use a small amount of liquid and dab rather than scrub. You may dry the surface with a hair dryer.

  • To clean and polish the dashboard and the instrument panel, use a damp cloth, rather than a dry rag. This is because small, dry particles of dust can scratch the surface. However, make sure that your damp cloth does not have excess water as it can damage the electronic instruments.

  • Finally, odors can be considered as stains too. To remove bad smell from the air conditioner, you may buy an odor treatment in your local auto accessories store. It can kill bacteria and get rid of the mildew smell.

This is the gift of my father-in-law in his birthday. We already have an idea that this would be the one they will give to him but were not just sure about it. Until finally, my father-in-law called us and asked if we can have a lunch together then after eating lunch we went on shopping. My son is so happy while riding on his new ride.

My son’s 3rd birthday is nearly coming. And we don’t have yet in mind any idea what gift should we give him. I’m thinking of a car toy. As I was browsing the net, I found this toy and I know he will be very interested and happy. Only that, it is only available in United Kingdom. But I don’t loose hope, I’ll try my best to search and have it before his birthday.

I can’t wait till it comes…2008 Geneva Auto Show March 8-16, 2008.

I’m very eager for new concepts and innovation technology that will submerge the said auto show. I’m pretty much sure that every car maker is ready to unveil their latest model in car industry and to savor the flavor for car enthusiasts of their desire to meet their unsatisfying wants and undying passion for cars.

I know there will be lots and lots of surprises from left to right – up and down the show. I have no more words to speak till the day it comes…

A great gift yet so expensive for kids. I know my son will be so delighted if he can have this as his birthday present. But I’m still thinking twice or maybe a million times if he should have one or not yet at this time.

car-manual.jpgUnless you own or work in car repair shop, this book is practically indispensable. Popular Mechanics is one of the most known science and technology titles in the market today, so you know how-to book with their name on its good stuff. The Complete Car Care Manual shows you how to treat your ride right, from such simple task as changing your windshield wiper blade, all the way to replacing engine mounts and finding sources of engine knock and shift shock. The photos and examples are all up to date, and practically all the advice is applicable in any model and make (although the book is understandably geared toward American cars). The information given is engaging whether you’re car newbie or car parts newbie. And who knows – maybe those so-called mechanics at your local garage can learn a thing or two as well.

As someone who currently completely relies on public transport, in a city where the public transport is pretty darn good, I can say without any doubt, I hate it.

For most people, it is probably fine, but having a car pretty much cuts your traveling time in half, and even more so the longer distance you travel. Also, even though there are stations littering the city, it’s about a 10 minute walk from my apartment to the nearest one. Add on a 25 minute journey that should only take 15, and you have yourself a frustrated passenger. Oh and if you happen to find yourself out past 1 am on the weekend (’cause who does that, right?) be prepared to take the night bus, i.e. a bus full of drunks that will drop you off a mile from your apartment. Not a fun walk.

Mostly for me though, it’s the freedom of being able to go where I want, when I want. That’s why I’ve been scouring the neat for a cheap $30…
